Band Of The Week // PACIFIC
Packing a punch with their anthemic new single Last Life, Pacific further show themselves as a force to be reckoned with.
Manchester-based band Pacific are giving the indie music revolution a good run for its money with their incendiary mix of alternative rock and rousing indie, with some hooking piano chords thrown in for good measure. Hot on the heels of last year’s success, which saw them winning the national vote to play Y Not Festival and selling out shows across Manchester and Norwich, they reveal more of their character with gripping new single Last Life.
Produced by Kaiser Chiefs producer David Watts, the track roars with unconfined passion and creates a booming sound that demands all of your attention. The band explains that the song tracks the narrative of “undisclosed inner-imagination, a desire to live out a doomed fantasy with the one person who you should actively avoid. It’s destined to end up in flames, but living in a time that’s reminding us of how fleeting life can be – can you fight the temptation to risk another round with the one who makes you feel most alive?”
Feeling rejuvenated by this zest for life, we talked more with the band about what other things make them feel alive, and their influences in the football industry.

“There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so” – just think it makes a lot of sense!

Indigo! Think we’ve got a quite clear but stormy sound.
If you could set Last Life to a TV show or movie, which one would it be the soundtrack for and why?
Every mate that we’ve played it to so far thinks it should be a James Bond theme. We think Last Life would be a good Bond title as well.
