BRING ME THE HORIZON Drop Smashing New Single ‘Parasite Eve’

Breaking out of any constraints, Bring Me The Horizon defy all boundaries of genre with Parasite Eve.

BMTH Parasite Eve

Bring Me The Horizon have never been ones to sit with conformity and seem to cause a stir with every new release that they share, provoking an impact that many musicians dream of but only a few will actually achieve. Their latest track Parasite Eve pushes the band beyond the ordinary even further as they introduce the parallel supernatural, horror-movie inspired realm converging with the current global situation as the coronavirus pandemic continues to make a sweeping impact. The track marks the first of a series of EPs that the band will be releasing in coming months, the process of which has been documented and published in parts on the band’s YouTube channel.

Penned by Oli Sykes and Jordan Fish through remote recordings and video calls, Parasite Eve shows that the new reality of lockdown has not halted the band in their path, but instead acted as further fuel for their creative ammunition. Through apocalyptic electronics and spine-shattering vocals, Parasite Eve is truly a force to be reckoned with and cements Bring Me The Horizon as one of the most innovative bands around today.

Explaining more of the abnormal context surrounding the track, Oli elaborates:

‘Parasite Eve’ came from an idea to write a survival horror song, but as the pandemic started to develop, the parallels were so similar it felt so close to the bone we decided to shelve it. As time went on, we started to feel how relevant it was and that instead of shying from it, that we should address the dark side, embrace it and process what’s going on… ‘Parasite Eve’ is our message of hope, wrapped in sadness and anger.
