YOUTH SECTOR Release ‘Mundanity’ EP

Youth Sector provide glorious rock ‘n’ roll with new single Hands.

Youth Sector 2020Brighton based band Youth Sector have released their new single Hands taken from their EP Mundanity. The EP focuses on themes around adulthood and leaving the comfort and structure of university and learning how to live an everyday life. The track itself feels like a heavy hit to the stomach in the best possible way, its distinctive vocals and classic rock ‘n’ roll guitar sounds could entice even the shyest person to dance, it’s infectious and dramatic and reminiscent of Talking Heads. The sudden cut at the end of the song adds a sense of boldness and confidence in the band’s own ability.

Hands is addictive, courageous and a clever nostalgic trip down memory lane, it creates a wild disco atmosphere, reminding you of sequin flares and patterned scarves. All in all the single is a new wave of old school, daring, magnificent rock ‘n’ roll.

Frontman Nick had this to say:

At the stage we are all at in our lives, we have flown the nest of university/education and its lovely, reliable structure; and the space we’ve found ourselves in now is one of new responsibilities, day jobs and house moves. The EP reflects feelings, thoughts and ideas that come with the everyday reality we all share at this point in our lives, for instance the somewhat comedic woes of trying to find an affordable house to rent that isn’t falling apart at the seams.
