BIFFY CLYRO Release Breathtaking Video for ‘Space’
The Scottish rockers have unveiled the music video for their most heartfelt single in years, directed by Joe Connor.
August has been an exciting month for Biffy Clyro, despite Covid-19 keeping them from embarking on a previously planned giant tour. The Scotsmen released their anticipated ninth studio album A Celebration Of Endings, which promptly rose to number one in the UK album charts and has reigned there ever since.
Now, the Biff has unveiled the music video for one of the more discussed singles: Space. Space is to A Celebration Of Endings what Machines is to Puzzle. It stops you in your tracks and delivers a heartbreaking blow to your psyche.
The music video is no different. It features frontman Simon Neil and dancer Jasmine Chu as two characters whose relationship is in a clear rough patch and they attempt to talk it out through dance, their heavy emotions represented by the heavy rain.
Simon was quoted as saying that by adding strings to the record, he “wanted to put sophistication into the chaotic” and this has been an absolute success for Space. Here’s to hoping they’ll play it live on their sold out Fingers Crossed UK Tour in 2021.
