THE CATALINA Shine With New Single ‘La Vie en Rose’

Drenched in pastel neon, La Vie en Rose weds 1980s nostalgia with contemporary electro-pop, creating the perfect union in the process.

The Catalina 2020

For anyone who enjoys LANY or The Band Camino, The Catalina’s new single, La Vie en Rose, will be a great addition to their playlist. The electro-pop, technicolour-infused track is three minutes of unabashed happiness. With the first percussion beats you are teleported directly into the opening sequence of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Before you know it, you’ll be wearing fluorescent hats and matching Nikes. It’s only moments before landing back in 2020 with the explosion of full-bodied, optimistic guitars and bright synths. With the release of La Vie en Rose – a song you simply cannot feel sad while listening to – The Catalina successfully carve their name into memory.

Explaining the basis for their new track, the band said:

We based this song off of a quote from the movie, Sabrina, talking about the French phrase “La Vie en Rose”. The phrase translates to – “seeing the world through rose colored glasses”. We wrote this song as an encouragement for people to see life for the happiness, beauty, and joy that we can find in it, rather than the worry and negativity that’s floating around right now.
