Singer-songwriter Thom Southern shares his debut single Shivers that will leave you wanting more. 

There’s no shortage of great music coming from Ireland lately and Belfast’s Tom Southern is no different. A song written about an outer body experience in which you’re able to observe exactly how you act in love, Shivers is painted with shimmers and deep guitar sounds that build the track into 3 minutes of pure escapism. The vocals are of a shoe-gaze style with a darker undertone that take the single to the next level. This might be a debut single but it certainly doesn’t feel like it. 

Speaking on the new track, Thom shares:

‘Shivers’ is the concept of love being like a drug, a sensation of being outside one’s own body, floating and being able to observe oneself from a different perspective. I wanted to embody this meaning within a dense sounding track, to mainly focus on one swollen guitar sound which never stops throughout and accompany that with repetitive beatnotic drums.
