ALL TIME LOW Release New Single ‘Once In A Lifetime’

From Dear Maria… to the new Once In A Lifetime, All Time Low never fail to create energetic, upbeat tracks.

All Time Low 2021

Pop-punk kings All Time Low have had the world wrapped around their little fingers for nearly two decades. OG singles Weightless and Dear Maria, Count Me In have become classics amongst pop-punk playlists and are still a huge part of listeners’ lives. In 2020 the band released Wake Up, Sunshine, their eighth studio album, and its different tone portrayed the way in which All Time Low have grown up but are still the same group of boys we’ve grown to know and love. Following the album, there was a little radio silence – not being able to do what they do best and play tours made for a tricky time – until last week when they released their latest single, Once In A Lifetime.

In classic ATL style, the single is built on energetic guitar hooks and frontman Alex Gaskarth’s echoey, punchy vocals. Cut from the same cloth, and embodying the same energy, as their single Monsters, All Time Low have more than impressed listeners with Once In A Lifetime. The accompanying music video, directed by Max More, also has been done in typical ATL style, showing the band are really throwing things back to their signature sound: a lot of drink, partying, and love.

The band are due to head out on a 5-date tour in September, and Once In A Lifetime is the perfect song to be yelling; especially after the year we’ve all had.

On the single, Gaskarth commented:

‘Once In A Lifetime’ is a song about loss and dealing with loss, facing harsh realities and coming out the other side stronger for it… we wrote this song in bleaker times, in a world still asleep at the wheel that left us all relearning how to navigate the uncertain roads ahead, but ultimately there is a hopeful undertone to the entire sentiment.
