DAN LANCASTER Releases Debut Solo Track ‘Move A Mountain’

UK singer/songwriter and Grammy-nominated producer Dan Lancaster has unveiled phenomenal debut single Move A Mountain.

Exceptional technical pop with sultry electro twists, that’s what we get from London-based singer/songwriter and producer Dan Lancaster on his debut solo track, Move A Mountain.

Demonstrating refined and neat production skills alongside his intriguing vocal talent, Dan surfaces with a truly captivating offering. Cathartic and intense, Move A Mountain is a concoction of swirling electronics that build up into a remarkable wall of sounds. Adding passionate vocals on top of that only amplifies the effect of falling right into the blazing haze.

On the lyrical themes behind his debut track, Lancaster explains:

The song is about trying to remove thoughts from your head but ultimately having little control over it and the frustration with that. Despite the song coming from a darker place, it was a cathartic release writing it.

Dan has written, produced and mixed 8 Radio 1 A-Listed records in the last two years, working with Blink 182, Good Charlotte, 5 Seconds Of Summer and Bring Me The Horizon, as well as Fickle Friends, One OK Rock, Don Broco and Lower Than Atlantis. And now he is taking his musical journey to next level.

On launching the solo venture, he comments:

I produce a lot for other artists, and you get to express yourself that but only up to a point. I’ve always wanted to put something of my own out when the timing was right. I’d been writing in between projects and started to upload little clips to my Instagram, but the turning point was when I wrote ‘move a mountain’ – then it felt like the start of something and the benchmark for everything to follow.

Dan is set to play his debut UK show on October 16th at Oslo Hackney.
