KING NO-ONE Share New Single ‘Get You Right’
Electric indie-pop trio King No-One return with new single Get You Right that’s bursting with life.
King No-One have enjoyed real success over the last seven years and their new single continues to grab attention, breaking the northern stereotype and leading upbeat and hopeful songs rather than the familiar dark and dreary tunes that we associate with the region. Get You Right was penned about focusing on and taking care of yourself and your mental health. It features the 80s style synthesisers that seem to be so popular right now that lead throughout, making the track one for a (socially distanced) indie disco. The vocals have a sense of vulnerability and rawness although they’re still steeped in confidence. King No-One know exactly how to create an alternative pop song with an edge.
Speaking on the new release, frontman Zach Lount shares:
‘Get You Right’ is a song for anyone to relate to in their own way, that has felt low, insecure, or uninspired in recent times. It’s a bitter sweet message to focus and look after yourself. I wrote the song during lockdown after I was seriously attacked in a street mugging, it incurred a long physical and mental recovery cooped up in our tiny flat. So writing the song was my key to bouncing back, and once lockdown was lifted, we immediately hit the studio and finished the record.
