CAPITAL THEATRE Share Ripping New Single ‘Force To Fight’
With an unstoppable driving energy, Capital Theatre make an entrance that you can’t ignore with their debut Force To Fight.
New Zealand rock trio Capital Theatre have sure made a hard-to-ignore entrance to the scene with their blistering debut Force To Fight. Having enlisted the help of legendary Guns N’ Roses producer Mike Clink, it is perhaps unsurprising that this track is a prowess of sizzling guitar riffs and a mesmerising display of instrumental firepower. The explosive energy driving the track demands to be noticed and answered to, and you will be sure to feel your blood pumping and adrenaline charging as you listen along.
The band has also dropped the accompanying video alongside the release, which sees people from opposite sides of the political spectrum battling it out in a boxing ring. Further explaining the inspiration behind it, director Greg Nicholas shares:
This is an in-your-face satire, an allegorical depiction of the fraying of American society where each opponent in the ring represents a different archetype. The boxing ring is a metaphor for a nation polarized and convulsed by division, its factions encouraged by their leader to meet violence with violence.
Vocalist, keyboard player and guitarist Adam Stevenson builds upon this by saying:
The song itself was written in 2019 as a prediction of things to come, but yes, the video definitely is an examination of the way the world is in 2020. Are we on the verge of absolute chaos, who knows? But there are so many clear examples of how extreme it is becoming in a global society fixated on social media, with social media giants and irresponsible politicians fuelling the fire.
