Setting the world on fire, Illuminate is the new track from Haunter.

Haunter are Lucy LeNoir (vocals), Enoma Asowata (guitar/synth), Mark Schroeder (bass), and Mike Ray (guitars/synths/vocals). They’re an alt-pop, pop-punk infused band who began making music as their completed and current lineup at the start of 2020. The band create uncompromising pop music that takes inspiration from the likes of PVRIS and Imagine Dragons, and includes a driving pop-punk guitar melody that’s seen in bands like Paramore and Falling In Reverse. Their debut single, Love You Better, was packed full of power; it was clear it was only just the beginning.

Celebrating being able to create and enjoy their first year in music, even in the year from hell that was 2020, Haunter have jumped into 2021 with what sounds like their best, most confident piece of work yet. Their brand new single, Illuminate, sees LeNoir letting her lungs loose and providing a real punch in her words. Somewhat vulnerable, initially, as it’s just vocals and a simple background beat, but the whole track explodes moving forward – ethereal guitars, a tuneful percussion, and beautiful words that fill the heart with love.

On the track, guitarist Enoma Asowata commented:

‘Illuminate’, at its core, is a love song. We wanted to write a song about those quiet moments in a relationship when you take a breath and realise you’ve fallen completely and hopelessly in love with your partner. Something in the way they look at you ignites that response – we’re always sort of fascinated about that moment.
