Norwegian songstress Vaarin charms listeners with her new EP Imaginary Movies.

Auteur is the lead track to Vaarin’s sophomore EP, Imaginary Movies, which follows her debut EP, Bitter Taste Of Goodbye, released last year.

Sonically soothing and lyrically poetic, the track offers a great dose of emotive storytelling. Musing over her life and the end of her own existence, Vaarin’s ethereal vocals gently glide over a soft bed of stirring instrumentals, creating a mellow yet pressing sound. With a touch of melancholy sweetness to it, Auteur is a carefully-paced cut, sure to delight with its overwhelmingly strong emotion.

Speaking on the new single, Vaarin shares:

I have always been a thinker. I think about death. And I think about life. What’s the stories in peoples heads? What is the end of my story? And I think about the fact that I am the one having control over it. I can change my story if I want to and I can clearly change the ending of my book. But will I?
