Teeming with passion and blooming with warmth, Fulgurant is the captivating debut single from Teulu’s forthcoming EP.

Having been surrounded by dense forestry in the pacific northwest, Teulu found a solace and inspiration amidst the natural wonders of Portland, Oregon, which sparked his creative drive to take on a solo project and push his own imagination. Appreciating the simplicity of minimal living, Teulu decided to depart from a routined way of living, and instead embraced the spontaneity of living and travelling in a van. The expansiveness of such nature and the thrill of newness everyday has found its way into his unique sound, as he captures the vastness of life through cavernous bass tones contrasted against tinkering high electronics.

His newest single and eponymous upcoming EP, Fulgurant, was born from an appreciation of the sheer majesty of our world as it guides you into a soundscape of tender pianos and soaring synths. Accompanied by a self-produced video that was filmed in the rolling hills of southern Vermont, you will be hard-pressed not to feel awe-inspired and filled with a revived joie de vivre.

Speaking more on the upcoming EP, Teulu shares:

The whole EP is based around this word ‘fulgurant’ or a flash of light / lighting, pertaining to how things can change so suddenly – both good and bad. For me personally, it’s around how quickly dementia can take over memory, but also how much beauty there is in the small, daily subtleties woven into your interactions. Little smiles, bursts of sun… those quick feelings of  *holy s*** we are all so lucky;* a beauty in the chaos type of thing.
