IZZA Shares Empowering New Single ‘Silence’

Initially beginning as a stripped-back, emotionally-driven lyrical masterpiece, this track soon develops into a euphoric, electrifying genre-bending anthem.

London-based Izza is an up-and-coming independent artist who stuns with her stunningly soulful vocals. She draws inspiration from the likes of Amy Winehouse and Bill Withers, and you can clearly recognise these notes of soul and jazz in her unique sound.

Co-written and produced by fellow Londoner Zach Said, Silence is a thrilling and optimistic portrayal of the inescapable, contrasting emotions which can consume you during romantic relationships.

Izza shares:

I wrote ‘Silence’ together with Zach Said this March about the contradictions between the rational thoughts and the irrational feelings when it comes to love. We wanted to create a very stripped back emotional pop song with big and rocky elements in the end to show the contradiction between these sensible thoughts ‘I don’t need us both to make the most out of me and you’ and the frustration of the emotions ‘All the shit that you do I’m still falling for you’. With a strong collective of backing vocals and drums we wanted to build the production from its humble beginning into a euphoric anthem, combining both electronic production and acoustic piano accompaniment.

A cinematic and energizing audible experience, Silence is a musical exploration of the emotional highs and lows of love.
