EDWARD SANSOM Returns With New Track ‘Suck It Up’
Predicating the way the world has felt for the last year is Suck It Up, the latest banger from Edward Sansom.
A fairly new face on the alt-rock scene, Brighton-based Edward Sansom debuted in 2018 but has only released a small number of singles. After a two year gap, though, Sansom is back and ready to show the world what he’s made of; his latest single is titled Suck It Up.
Despite this track being, perhaps, the most relatable I’ve listened to in a while, Suck It Up was in fact not written as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, but before it – Sansom was just fed up with the way things were. Quick-paced beats and an angsty, alt-rock vocal embody a feeling of isolation, and just being told to get over it. The single isn’t what you expect to hear when you hear about it, but it’s definitely a pleasant surprise. Catchy, guitar-driven, critical of the world: what more could you want?
On the track, Sansom shares further:
The song reflects my feelings of isolation in a digital world. It acts as a circuit breaker to all the noise.
