The fifth studio album from James Blake is set to arrive this September.

Mercury Music Prize and GRAMMY® Award winning UK singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer James Blake has announced details of his fifth studio album, Friends That Break Your Heart, due out 10th September via Polydor Records.

The first taste of the record comes in the form of a stunning slow-burner, Say What You Will. Forlornly personal and brooding, the track is an exploration of self-worth, flourishing with Blake’s poignant vocals and a carefully-paced sonic arrangement. The song arrives accompanied by Bear Damen-directed visuals which feature a guest appearance from Finneas. Offering a peculiarly insightful glimpse into the emotional fluidity of the new album, Say What You Will is the sound of self-discovery.

Speaking on the new track, James Blake shares:

The song is about finding peace with who you are and where you’re at regardless of how well other people seem to be doing. Comparison really is the thief of joy.
