EDEN RAIN Shares Insightful Single ‘Sugar Baby’
Reclaiming feminine control and unveiling hard truths, this track is an emotive, biographical insight into the world of sugar babies.

Following her enthralling four singles Wake Up, You’re Stuck, Out In The Cold, Rent In The City and Being Human, which were released throughout this year, Eden Rain returns with her astonishing new single Sugar Baby. Once again solidifying herself as an artist to watch, this track showcases Eden’s phenomenal songwriting and outstanding vocals.
Produced by Benji Gibson, Sugar Baby is a powerful commentary on the complexities of being a sugar baby, which reach beyond just their physical relationship with the sugar daddies. Shedding light on the emotional impact of being a sugar baby, Eden sings “it’s all for show, you cry in the backseat all the way home.”
Complete with fascinating visuals of collage-style animation, the aesthetics in the Sugar Baby music video further emphasise how society glorifies financially-based relationships without knowing the full truth.
Eden speaks on the single:
‘Sugar Baby’ was written after listening to a friend’s experiences of being a sugar baby and dating for money. It’s an eye-opening world that I observed for a while. I wanted to play with the phrase ‘fuck bitches get money’ and turn it into something where the women are in control, especially in this situation the women are often perceived to be ‘fucked up’ but my friend sees herself as taking control of her own life and the situation she is in. I still definitely worry about my friend and want her to be safe and happy, especially as these relationships have a unique dynamic, so I wanted that to come across in the verses of the song, while the chorus is her saying yes girl! get that money! fuck the patriarchy!
Refreshingly blunt and gifted with distinctly stunning vocals, Eden Rain is undoubtedly making waves in the UK music scene.
