Consisting of friends Leo Wyndham, Matt Hodges and Rupert Turner, Palace are a London-based indie trio. In 2016, the band released their debut album So Long Forever and three years later, they shared their sophomore record Life After. A confrontation of the band members’ deepest fears and worries, Palace’s forthcoming third album, entitled Shoals, will be released on January 21st.

Following the release of their singles Gravity and Lover (Don’t Let Me Down), Palace unveil the third single, Fade, from their upcoming album. Fade is a raw and authentic depiction of mental stress, with its powerful percussion and explicitly poignant lyrics.

Shot with a SnorriCam to emphasise the intensity of trepidation, the single arrives complete with an entrancing music video, which emphasises the complexities of having an anxiety-prone mind.

Palace’s vocalist Leo shares:

‘Fade’ is a song about the link between the body and the mind – how our mind’s response to the body’s state can turn into mental paranoia, leading to an unhealthy fixation on where we go when we meet our maker. It’s an anthem to paranoia and the feeling like you could explode with the fear of what will become.

As well as releasing their third album next year, Palace are also set to play the biggest tours of their career so far in the UK, Europe and the US, in 2022.
