The heartbreak continues as LANY release new single, I Don’t Wanna Love You Anymore.

Following previous single Thru These Tears, I Don’t Wanna Love You Anymore is the second taste of the trio’s forthcoming second album, Malibu Nights, which is due later this year.

Silky warm vocals continue to tell the story of a rough breakup as we dive deeper into the dreamy world of LANY‘s alt-pop haze. Despite its heart-wrenching theme, the track still holds tightly onto summer glow and that’s exactly what made us fall for this band in the first place.

Frontman Paul Klein wrote in the band’s newsletter:

“i don’t wanna love you anymore” is officially out around the world, and i can’t tell you how good it feels to slowly give you what we’ve been working on for so long. just went thru my camera roll to see exactly what day we wrote this song… january 17th. that’s nearly 7 months ago.

life looked so much different then, and who knows what it will look like 7 months from now. but all i can say is i will never leave a single one of my emotions unarticulated. a release date for “malibu nights” will be made public soon, and we’ll all scream about it together on the internet.

until then, call that person you love if you want them back. or don’t.

LANY have also announced first ‘moon era’ tour dates.

The first phase of the ‘moon era’ will include a short tour in Europe and the United States this Autumn. The band is set to play a one-off London show at O2 Forum Kentish Town on October 8th. As for the US leg, it will commence in their hometown LA and end in New York which, in true LANY style, gives us a hint back to their band name, an acronym for Los Angels New York.
