PREP Announce Self-Titled Debut Album
With the release of their latest single, the easy-breezy On And On, PREP gear up for the release of their debut album.
Self-titled, PREP is due out on 30th October from four-piece PREP and if their new single is any indication, it should be well worth a listen. From the very first notes, On And On begins to float by, airy and suave. A funk-disco influence comes alive in the rich bassline and unique vocals from PREP frontman, Tom Havelock. Even though he sings of longing and there’s a remorseful undertone haunting the song, the overarching cheeriness from peppy guitar notes and the pulsating rhythm elevate it to a carefree, easy-going pop song. On And On is the perfect travel song to listen to while staring wistfully out the window at the scenery passing by.
Talking about On And On, Havelock said:
This one started life as a love song, a real romantic slow burner, but as we got to the chorus it somehow became about someone who’s left. It’s almost like the song wishes it was a love song. The artwork followed a similar path – starting with a desert road trip through this epic landscape, but then we ended up switching the car for a phone booth.
