iDKHOW BUT THEY FOUND ME Get Glitzy With New Single ‘Razzmatazz’
With a track name as glamorous as Razzmatazz, it comes as no surprise that the newest single from iDKHOW is indeed, a masterclass in elegance and style.
Following on from the release of Leave Me Alone earlier this year, iDKHOW are back with yet another teaser for their upcoming debut album with titular single Razzmatazz. The album is set for release on October 16th. With their characteristic flair and opulence, Razzmatazz follows the same glitzy footsteps with sultry basses and dazzling saxophones to build on a rich, irresistible sound. If music aristocrats and royalty had a sound, this would be it.
Singing of a disillusionment with Hollywood, Razzmatazz creates a gluttonous sound with meandering beats and velvety vocals that are in no clear rush to get anywhere. Bringing the hedonism that eats away at Hollywood right to the forefront with a full-bodied sound that reflects the overindulgence of the industry, crescendoing pianos and satiating basses provide a luxurious sonic feast for your ears to spoil in. The lyricism strikes with an almost sarcastic tone, as Dallon Weekes sings, “Let’s go paint the town on our way home” with a false cheer and encouragement, so persuasive that any surface level listening to the track will likely leave you deceived as to the true meaning and intention. Yet herein lies the genius of iDKHOW, and it is sure to leave you excited for what more they have in store for us.
