The saying ‘here for a good time, not a long time’ seems to aptly summarise the feelings behind Kate Lomas’ latest single Die Young.

With sugary sweet vocals that will evoke feelings of childish innocence and wide-eyed wonder, Kate Lomas is all too familiar with our grapples with reconciling our adult responsibilities and our desire to lose our inhibitions and let our childish fantasies run lose. Die Young is her take upon this feeling in a flittering pulse of chromatic electronics and coursing rhythms, painting a kaleidoscopic soundscape where you will inevitably lose your inhibitions. The single is the second to be lifted off Kate’s forthcoming EP which is set to be released later this year, in November. Questioning, ‘Baby, are we gonna die young?’ in a captivating chorus, the purity of Kate’s raw feelings come across through both the glittering accompaniment and the direct lyricism in an all encapsulating wash.
