Seize The Power is the first single of the new era of YONAKA.

Brighton-based YONAKA first appeared on the scene back in 2016, and established themselves with the critically acclaimed debut album Don’t Wait ‘Til Tomorrow, released in 2019. Hardly a peep has been heard from them since, until now, and they’ve come back with one hell of a bang.

Their brand new track Seize The Power opens with a strong spoken message from vocalist Theresa Jarvis, instantly commanding attention and turning heads. The repeated mantra “this power’s yours for the taking” is powerful, radiating self-love, bad bitch energy, and doing things entirely for yourself.

Accompanying music video feels almost multi-dimensional; flashing lights and quick camera shots feel quite erratic, but it’s centred around Jarvis showing the world she’s a boss.

Seize The Power is unifying, it’s empowering, and it’s only just the beginning. On the track, YONAKA said:
