Cheek, sass, and pure talent are displayed in Suburbia, the debut single from Devon Again.

TikTok recognisee, LA-based Devon Again has been showing off and sharing with the world her talent since going viral in 2020, but it’s only in the second half of 2021 that she’s decided to put her energetic vocals into practice. Her debut single, Suburbia, is out now.

Vocals in the same style as Ashniko and Melanie Martinez, and beats inspired by a huge portion of the alt-pop, R&B scene, Suburbia feels very familiar, but it shows us everything Devon Again wants and aspires to be in just three minutes. Written about a ‘hypothetical suburban lover,’ and not being everything someone wants, Devon Again combines raw emotion with upbeat pop beats and gripping vocals. We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

On the single, Devon comments:

I wish there was some spicy backstory to the song, but the chorus was really just a shower thought I had upon some brief reflection of a crush I had on a girl a couple years back who was very much not available. This song was so fun to write and I’m so excited to get to share it!
