SHAYHAN Shares New Single ‘Goodbye’
Gravelly and bursting with warmth, Shayhan’s gorgeous vocals captivate you as he leads you into his soulful universe.
Providing a new outlook on psychedelic soul and funk, Shayhan is an LA-based genre-bending artist who stuns with his Prince-esque vocals. From the young age of eleven, Shayhan began learning production on his brother’s computer and this, combined with his talent for impressions, enabled him to develop a unique style of singing. Last year, Shayhan moved to Los Angeles in order to spur his career and since then, he has been writing closely and working with Rae Khalil, as well as sharing studio time with The Free Nationals and Schoolboy Q.
Following his well-received single Never Ask, Shayhan invites us once again into his world of outstanding psychedelic soul with the release of his glorious new EP Mr. Fish. With five stellar tracks and four being completely new – Porn (Ode to Sade), Composure, Goodbye and Washed Up – this EP showcases Shayhan’s marvellous vocals, masterly production and ingenious songwriting.
Speaking on the EP, Shayhan states:
Mr. Fish is a story of my insanity. Starting with the need for love through the many yearly faces of depression that ends with the fear of facing all my mistakes. I am Mr. Fish. Call me old fashioned but so are you.
Fourth on the tracklist, the irresistible song Goodbye highlights Shayhan’s unique artistry and raspy vocals, as he sings “think it through, walk a mile in my shoes.” Memorable lyricism, alluring guitars and Shayhan’s exquisite backing vocals combine to create an irresistible listening experience.
It is no surprise that Shayhan has dedicated his life to music since he was young; his effortless songwriting and vocal abilities enable him to mesmerise audiences far and wide.
