TADHG DALY Beckons You to ‘Come On Over’
Showing a soaring vulnerability, Tadhg Daly touches listeners on newest release Come On Over.
Jersey-born, Irish musician Tadhg Daly continues to touch listeners with his unfiltered style of songwriting and earnest melodies on his latest single Come On Over. He builds on the existing anticipation towards his coming EP Forever Young, which is set for release on October 29th.
Starting off with humble guitars, the initial simplicity of the track allows the emotional core of the track to pierce through unfiltered and it quickly brings your heart into the music. The texture builds gradually after the first chorus, as strolling beats join in and pushes the intensity of the track before everything takes flight in the second chorus, with swelling strings and soaring vocals hitting you with a wave of passion. Quieting down for a subdued ending, it feels as if you’ve completed a journey as Tadhg’s candid songwriting also leaves you doting on a reflective note.
Speaking more about the track, Tadhg shares:
I kind of wrote this song about feeling like a loser.. I had this scene in my head of sitting around in a dimly lit apartment at 3am smoking a cigarette texting an ex-girlfriend. At its core I think it’s about watching someone move on with their life whilst you’re stuck in a rut, all the while understanding they need to move on, but wanting to be their “in between”.
