ISSEY CROSS Returns With New Single ‘M40 (Love Me Now)’

Known for overthinking and dying her hair in the kitchen sink, Issey Cross returns with M40 (Love Me Now) to continue her already thriving music career.

Issey Cross 2021

Londoner Issey Cross has had one hell of a 6 months. Debuting only in January of this year, Cross had released an array of singles and her debut EP, Mirrors Don’t Lie, by April. Her unique RnB, poppy sound has the world hooked, and we’ve watched her grow from a shy youngster into a Harley Quinn-esque bad bitch. Cross has just released her latest single, M40 (Love Me Now).

A little bit more vulnerable than the likes of her singles Who and Boys Make Promises, M40 (Love Me Now) shares the highs and the lows of being in a long-distance relationship, speaking on how “we got to work it out, from the West side to the South.” Composed in classic Issey Cross style, with crisp beats and introspective lyricism, M40 (Love Me Now) shows a side we’ve never seen before – but it’s one we love just as much. The accompanying music video has been directed just as well as her previous videos; somewhat sinister yet showing all the feelings Cross intends for us to feel.

On the single, Cross shared:

I wrote ‘M40’ to help me through being in a long-distance relationship, which is hard enough without being in lockdown for more than a year. I spent so much time on the M40 that it felt right to write a song about it.
