MERCI, MERCY Shares Intoxicating New Single ‘Fall Apart’
Bringing a bubblegum pop sound that is simply irresistible, merci, mercy’s latest single Fall Apart is a track that demands to be played on repeat.
19-year-old musician merci, mercy has had quite the unconventional upbringing; having lived abroad in China and Thailand as a teen, before returning to her home country of Australia, the feeling of unfamiliarity whilst being in a familiar environment is no stranger to her. Channelling these potent feelings into a well of inspiration, merci, mercy shares her gripping sophomore single Fall Apart, confronting tendencies of self-destruction and presenting a cynical attitude towards love. Packed with giant electronics that aren’t afraid to get in your face, an infectious chorus and vocals that cut straight to the point, merci, mercy creates an impressive sound that extends beyond her own experiences with its charisma and larger-than-life character.
The artist explains:
‘Fall Apart’ references the cynical version of myself. Where I question the point in starting something with someone when I know it’s just going to end. In my mind I think I’m going to get hurt, so will it be worth it? It’s an apology and explanation to any future relationship that could be harmed by my cynical mind.
