Born in El Paso but raised in LA, Areli Castro who goes by the alias KiNG MALA touches on many different themes within her music including feminism and losing control. Her new track sugarblind is no different, as the artist opens up about her emotional side, delving into lust, passion, and the desire to be with someone. The gritty, soulful jazz vocals saturate the track whilst the upbeat 60s style melody adds a retro vibe to the song, making it a very soothing and infectious piece of music.
