heartbeat is the latest single from indie duo slenderbodies.

slenderbodies describe themselves as a pair that ‘write songs for you to experience like a blanket or a warm breeze of equatorial air,’ and with two EP’s and a handful of singles behind them, listeners can more than vouch for that statement. The duo, comprised of Max Vehuni (vocals, guitar) and Benji Cormack (guitar), wow with soft, mesmerising tracks. slenderbodies are preparing to release their third EP, are we?, out on May 21st, and ahead of that have just released their latest single heartbeat.

The track is a gorgeous, lo-fi indie-pop bop; emphasising everything slenderbodies are about and featuring the beautiful melodies that made us all fall in love with them in the first place. Following a thus far successful career, having shared stages with the likes of Passion Pit and PVRIS, and receiving support from major mags, slenderbodies have had a reputation to live up to, and heartbeat does that and so much more. Its cool beats, entwined with Vehuni’s unique but engaging vocals, create a single that get listeners excited for whatever is to come next.
