Prince-esque I Know I Know has shared their first track of 2021, the hypnotic Fade Out.

Instrumentalist, producer, Prince-lookalike Tommy Hill has been releasing music under the alias of I Know I Know for the last four years. Hill’s music is a concoction of groove, indie, and alt-pop – the lack of a solid label on the sound allows for a fluidity and range within the music, and each of I Know I Know’s tracks has been different from the last. The progression from debut Blindside to 2020’s singles Scream and Talk – the latter receiving support from the likes of BBC Radio 1 – is incredible but is still very much recognisable as music from IKIK.

I Know I Know has just released Fade Out, which is a stunning single. The hypnotic, building instrumentals are combined with Hill’s woozy vocals and the track has some sort of mesmerising surround-sound effect on listeners. Fade Out is one for fans of the likes of Royal Blood and Tigercub, as it features a gorgeous dark indie sound that captivates listeners. Tommy Hill is one hell of a talent – he may label himself as ‘Prince-esque,’ but he has a sound entirely of his own.
