NINA CHUBA Shares New Single ‘Levitating’

Irresistible electro-pop from Nina Chuba makes listeners feel like they are Levitating.

Nina Chuba

“Fuck genres, get money” is the mantra of Berlin-based Nina Chuba, who has never settled into a particular sound in her last three years of creating. Previous release Who Hurt You was a hip-hop, rap anthem, but Nina has slowed it down and shown a softer side in the brand-new Levitating, taken from the forthcoming EP, Average, out on June 4th.

Levitating is a soft, electro-pop track that showcases Nina’s floaty, dream-like vocals in all their glory. Starting slow and sombre with minimal background sound, a heartbeat-like beat is introduced which focuses the listener. The chorus takes on a stronger tempo and the whole song gets turned up a notch. It’s a pretty song that makes us feel like we’re floating… or levitating, for want of a better word. It’s clear from her previous few singles that the upcoming EP is going to have something for everyone, we just can’t wait to see what.

Nina commented on the track:

‘Levitating’ is a song about a relationship that is meant to crash. You keep on holding onto it, pretending you’re levitating although you’re actually falling.
