Dublin’s alt-folk artist Ailbhe Reddy has dropped soft and enchanting new single, Between Your Teeth.

Between Your Teeth is taken from Ailbhe Reddy‘s debut album, Personal History, which will be released on October 2nd. 

The first thing that comes to mind when describing the track is a musical version of walking through an enchanted forest and brushing your fingers through a wild meadow. The fairytale-like vocals of Ailbhe Reddy feel like putting on soft, fluffy pyjamas on a winter evening, comforting, homely and inviting. The folk-styled guitar makes this track perfect for a chilled Sunday evening and a festival crowd. Between Your Teeth was written about a communication breakdown in a relationship when both parties struggle to vocalise their feelings, as Ailbhe explains:

It’s about the frustration of being unable to communicate in a relationship. Both people hold things back because they either don’t want, or don’t know, how to express themselves. While travelling alone, I always spent a lot of time thinking too much about past conversations and wondering what words were being held back between another person’s teeth.
